Project Discontinued — December 31, 2025

inotia00 officially discontinued ReVanced Extended (RVX) on December 31, 2025. The patches repository was archived on March 10, 2026. RVX Manager v1.25.7 (December 29, 2025) is the final release. No further updates, patches, or bug fixes will be provided. Existing builds may degrade as YouTube and Reddit update their APIs. New users should migrate to Morphe or Anddea's fork.

What Is RVX Manager?

RVX Manager is an open-source fork of ReVanced Manager, specifically optimized for inotia00's ReVanced Extended (RVX) patches. Created after branching from the main ReVanced project, it focused on delivering extended, feature-rich versions of popular Android apps with superior compatibility for inotia00's patch bundles.

Unlike the upstream ReVanced Manager, RVX Manager shipped with inotia00's sources pre-configured as defaults, eliminating manual source setup and reducing patch conflicts. It supported both non-root and rooted Android devices and was completely free under the GPLv3 license.

Pro Tip: Preserve Your Keystore

If you have existing RVX builds installed, export your signing keystore from RVX Manager before uninstalling. Without it, future patched APKs (even from alternatives) will have a different signature and Android will force you to uninstall and lose your app data.

Download and Install (Final Version)

Because the project is discontinued, only archival downloads remain. Do not trust unofficial sites claiming "new" RVX Manager versions.

How to use it on Rooted Android?

The procedure is almost similar to the non-rooted guide. However, at the opening of the manager, you are required to give root permissions. 3

Customize Patches

Tap Selected patches → customize. Exclude the "GmsCore support" patch for root installs.

4

Patch and Mount

Tap Patch. The manager will mount the mod directly over the stock app.

5

Block Play Store Updates

Install the Detach Magisk module to prevent Play Store from overwriting your mounted patches.

💻

RVX Builder — Recommended Fallback

If you are still unable to build Extended apps using RVX Manager, we highly recommend you use RVX Builder. It is a Node.js-based CLI tool that works on PC or via Termux on Android. This is the most reliable fallback when the manager app fails to patch correctly.

RVX Builder — CLI Fallback
# Install dependencies (Node.js 18+ required) npm install -g rvx-builder # Start the web UI locally rvx-builder --port 8000 # Or use Docker docker-compose build --pull --no-cache docker-compose up -d

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Issue Cause Solution
Build failed / patch error Wrong APK version or incompatible patch bundle Use the exact suggested version shown in RVX Manager. Final compatible patch is v5.14.1. If still failing, use RVX Builder as fallback.
App not installing Signature conflict or unknown sources blocked Uninstall previous patched app, enable unknown sources, or reboot.
Play Protect blocks install Google Play Protect flags patched APK as unknown Tap More DetailsInstall Anyway on the Play Protect warning screen.
Videos not playing / buffering YouTube API changes after discontinuation Update spoof streaming data client in patch options. If broken, migrate to Morphe.
Google sign-in fails Missing or outdated GmsCore Install latest GmsCore, add account, and enable all permissions in Self-Check.
Slow builds / OOM crash Insufficient RAM or storage Close background apps, free up 1 GB+ storage, or use RVX Builder on PC.
Play Store reverts patches (root) Auto-update overwrites mounted app Install Detach Magisk module to block auto-updates for the patched app.

Alternatives: Morphe vs Anddea vs ReVanced

🏆 Morphe (Recommended by inotia00)

Morphe is the successor project built by former ReVanced and RVX contributors, including inotia00. It patches YouTube, YouTube Music, and Reddit with a modern Android app featuring Simple and Expert modes.

  • Status: Actively maintained (changelog updated June 2026)
  • Manager: Morphe Manager with Jetpack Compose UI
  • Patches: 100+ patches, automatic background updates
  • Root: Mount-based installer with Magisk module support
  • Site: vanced.com.co

🔧 Anddea's RVX Fork

A community-maintained fork of RVX that continued for approximately two years. As of March 2026, Anddea's patches migrated to the Morphe patcher for long-term compatibility.

  • Status: Migrated to Morphe patcher (March 2026)
  • Best for: Immediate transition if you need familiar RVX patch names
  • Note: Not a long-term sustainable path per inotia00's guidance

⚙️ Official ReVanced Manager

The upstream project that RVX Manager was forked from. ReVanced Manager v2.6.0 (April 2026) and v2.7.0-dev.5 (June 2026) are actively maintained with a complete Jetpack Compose rewrite.

  • Status: Active development
  • Manager: ReVanced Manager v2.6.0+
  • Note: Does not natively include inotia00's extended patches
  • Best for: Users who want upstream stability over RVX-specific features

Migration Guide: Moving to Morphe

inotia00 explicitly recommends Morphe as the sustainable successor. Here is the migration path for existing RVX users.

1

Export Your Keystore

Export your signing keystore from RVX Manager (Settings → Export keystore). Save the file securely. This is critical to preserve your app data.

2

Export Patch Selections

Export your patch selections as JSON if you want to reference your old setup in the new manager.

3

Download Morphe Manager

Download Morphe Manager from vanced.com.co or our app directory.

4

Import Your Keystore

Import your keystore into Morphe Manager to preserve signature continuity. This lets you install Morphe-patched apps over your existing RVX installs without losing data.

5

Patch Your Apps

Use Simple mode for a one-tap experience, or Expert mode to replicate your previous RVX patch choices.

6

Install GmsCore and Verify

If using non-root, install GmsCore, then sign in and verify functionality. Once confirmed, you can uninstall RVX Manager.

Migration Note June 2026

Why Morphe Over Anddea?

Anddea's patches migrated to the Morphe patcher in March 2026, indicating convergence toward the Morphe ecosystem. inotia00's direct involvement in Morphe provides stronger assurance of long-term sustainability, active bug fixes, and continued feature development. For users seeking the closest spiritual successor to RVX Extended, Morphe is the clear path forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is RVX Manager still maintained in 2026?

No. inotia00 discontinued ReVanced Extended on December 31, 2025, and archived the repositories in March 2026. RVX Manager v1.25.7 is the final release and will not receive updates.

What is the best alternative to RVX Manager?

Morphe is the recommended alternative, endorsed by inotia00 himself. It is maintained by former ReVanced and RVX contributors and offers similar patching capabilities with modern UI and active support.

Does RVX Manager still work?

It may continue to function on compatible app versions for a limited time, but it will degrade as YouTube, YouTube Music, and Reddit update their server-side APIs and client requirements. It is not recommended for new installations.

Do I need root to use RVX Manager?

No. RVX Manager supports both non-root and rooted devices. Non-root users need GmsCore (MicroG) for Google sign-in. Root users can mount patches directly and should exclude the GmsCore support patch.

Can I install Morphe over my existing RVX YouTube app?

Only if you import the same signing keystore into Morphe Manager that you used in RVX Manager. Otherwise, Android will detect a signature mismatch and force a full uninstall, losing your app data.

What Android version do I need?

RVX Manager requires Android 8.0 (API 26) or higher. The original article's claim of Android 5.0+ was incorrect. Morphe also requires Android 8+.

What if RVX Manager fails to patch my app?

We highly recommend using RVX Builder as a fallback. It is a Node.js CLI tool that works more reliably for complex patching scenarios. See the RVX Builder section above for setup commands.

Glossary

APK
Android Package Kit — the file format used to distribute and install Android applications. RVX Manager patches the original app's APK to modify its behavior.
Patch
A modular code modification applied to an APK at the bytecode level. RVX patches add or remove features like ad-blocking, background playback, and UI customization.
GmsCore
A free-software reimplementation of Google Play Services, commonly called MicroG. Required for Google account sign-in on non-root patched apps.
Keystore
A cryptographic file used to sign APKs. Keeping the same keystore across rebuilds allows Android to treat updates as upgrades rather than new installations.
Root
Privileged access to the Android operating system. Root users can mount patches directly over stock apps without changing the package name, but must block Play Store auto-updates.
SponsorBlock
A crowdsourced database and API that identifies and skips sponsored segments, intros, and outros in YouTube videos. Integrated into RVX and Morphe patches.

Conclusion

RVX Manager and ReVanced Extended represented a high-water mark for community-driven Android app customization, delivering ad-free playback, deep UI control, and privacy-focused features for over three years. However, the project reached its end of life on December 31, 2025, with v1.25.7 as the final manager release and v5.14.1 as the final patch bundle.

If you are an existing user, your builds may continue to work for a limited time, but you should plan a migration to Morphe — the actively maintained successor recommended by inotia00. For new users, starting with Morphe or the official ReVanced Manager v2.6+ is the only sustainable path in 2026.

Always download patching tools from trusted sources like vanced.com.co, use secondary accounts when testing, and export your keystore before making any changes.
